I wasn't aware that Lyman has made chokes with internal threads until I saw this pic.
Since these chokes no doubt are meant to screw on to the original Cutts compensator barrel adapter, I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts the threads match.

Unfortunately the threads won't match, contrary to what I had hoped for. The seller tells me the inside diameter measures .895" on the choke tube and my barrel adapter measures 1.10" outside diameter. This makes me wonder what his choke tube does fit? Any ideas?
    Thanks for all the help!

There were other choke tube systems similar to the Cutts like the Pachmayr Power Pac:

and Poly Chokes that used a silver solder on barrel adapter and either a muzzle brake like Cutts and Powr Pac or internally threaded choke tubes. Not sure about that Lyman, I don't think I have seen one of those either. You'd think that either Lyman had a similar set up or made those to fit a common barrel adapter but that is speculation on my part.

So, again, not a lot of help here with your original question but if you can't find a choke tube the fits the barrel adapter then you might consider doing what Cap'n Morgan suggested and have a non-vented chamber made so that matches the barrel adapter threads and threaded to suit your choke tubes at the muzzle end. It would still be bulky (though I like the looks of Cutts and Power Pac's) but would eliminate the noise factor and allow you to use your chokes tubes.

However, I'd ask a gunsmith what that would cost if you don't have a lathe to make one yourself. Considering that it costs about $180 to have a shotgun barrel reamed and threaded for choke tubes here, getting a simple chamber machined to suit may not cost a lot.

    Doughnuts it is then!

Seriously, I would have thought there was a marked for Cutts system chokes w/o the recoil compensator.
In my humble opinion, recoil reduction on shotguns are mostly a noisy gimmick, although the Cutts system may have some merit due to opposing forces.

lyman & cutts were 2 different companies in compition with each other. they would not want parts to interchange. lyman bought out cutts and continued the line. so selling both at the same time

just use the cutts as is . I have the adjustable 1 on mine vs 6 choke tubes Just a twist and adjusts it

I’ve seen Weaver chokes long ago as well.
I don’t know if they were made by the scope company though.

    Yes I do.

First off a Cutts is no more noisy than a strait barrel. This is because the ports vent up and down, not sideways. The recoil reduction is real as well and they claim 35% reduction, which I would also agree with.

My gun is such a Cream Puff to shoot it is silly.

When I first got the gun it only came with a Modified tube. I pieced together the rest of the tubes, the wrench and box over the next 40+ years The box was only acquired a few years ago.

I have owned the gun for 51 years!

This is the one accessory to a shotgun that has no negative affect on the gun. It makes the gun good for any thing you can shoot with a shotgun. Doves to Geese, Skeet to Trap to Sporting Clays.

Note: There is only three tubes in the smaller gauges. Spreader Modified and Full.

My Cutts gun does have a tendency to shoot low, but I’ve read they can be adjusted by propping both sides of the slotted body under blocks then pressing down in stages to bend it until the pattern rises. The difficult adjustment is left and right - fortunately, I don’t have that problem.

I also see adapters for sale in different diameters. I don't know that I have ever seen one of these installed. Could someone please enlighten me on adapters?
    Thanks,
    Rick
