    Dip Lube Question

When dip lubing ,do you wipe the bottom of the bullet off before setting it down? Just learning.

I shot BPCR and wipe the pan lubed bullets bases. to keep the wads from sticking to the base of the bullet. I also use a heavy wad then 2 thin typing paper wads for the same reason.
On smokeless ammo it would depend on the amount of lube as it could affect powder.
I actually dont wipe but scrape the lube off with an old 6" steel ruler. This is done before loading when boxing the bullets for storage.

When I dip lubed, I'd dip twice into warm lube, set base down on wax paper, when cooled I use a Kookie Kutter to remove excess. The little residue that is on base didn't seem to effect anything, but I suppose it depends on the lube ingredients, cuz you won't want anything on the base that could effect the powder.
