I pulled out the last pack of my turkey about a week ago. It was the side of the breast that got shot up pretty good. I sliced it up before I froze it and made sure all the pellets were out. Soaked it in a little salt water for a day or so before I froze it to soak the blood out of the holes. It turned out awesome, but just a hair dry because I left it in a little too long. I figured I’d give a try at making the old original “jerky snuff” from the 70s. Like Jack links still makes it and calls it jerky chew now. I grabbed a few pieces yesterday that I stored in zip loc bag in the fridge. I cut it up as finally as I could with an Ulu knife. From there I just rolled it between my thumb, pointer, and middle fingers till it broke up even more. I was going to put it in the blender but a few seconds of rolling it between my thumb and fingers did the trick. Turned out good enough I’m gonna cut the rest of the pieces up and make snuff out of them! After googling it, it looks like it’s more dusty looking and finer. I might try and stick a little in a blender and see what it looks like, but I almost like the thicker texture of mine.
