    I'm no longer a fan of Wikipedia, for reasons I won't go into. But they do still have some good articles, like this one about shot towers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shot_tower

    Pretty good article, but there is a bit of misinformation in there: "The tallest shot tower ever built still stands in the Melbourne suburb of Clifton Hill in Australia. This brick structure was built in 1882 and is 160 feet high."
    The Phoenix Shot Tower in Baltimore is substantially taller than that, as reported by multiple articles I read about it. Here's what Wikipedia says about that one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoenix_Shot_Tower

    When yer making yer own "shot pans", GONRA suggests PUNCHIN' holes.
    Hardened drill rod, sharpened end, etc. ....

    Drilln' is "PITA"

    So this guy has a needle and seat setup for the orifice. Wet denim cloth on his ramp, and drips into steaming hot water. Nice looking shot for such a simple setup and charcoal heat source!
