    Garage sale score today.

I normal don't do garage sales but I spotted a shotshell loader as I drove by one. Turned around and was rewarded with Pacific DL 266, 25 pounds of #8 shot and 500 Claybuster wads all for the princely sum of $40.

The funny part was I was on my way to pick up a Facebook marketplace DL 266 for $25. Now I have three. One each for 20, 28 and 410. I do 12 gauge on a progressive except for 3 1/2" 12's and 10's. Those are done on a P&W 375.

Today scores cost me a total of $65 for two Pacific DL 266's, 25 pounds of #8 shot and 500 Claybuster.

I did purchase a couple of lottery tickets on the way home.

I got a little plastic turkey that wags his head and tail feathers when sunlight hits him, was only a quarter.
These are the kind of garage sale treasures I find.

I've never seen anything even remotely gun related in a garage sale.

Nice score M-Tec! You did better than I did. Gun club was supposed to have a "garage sale" today selling off reloading equipment to help out the widow of a member who recently passed. Got there and found out the sale was canceled because someone made a "last minute" bid for the whole lot and took it all. I've got a feeling it would have been a big 'circus' with everyone trying to be first in line for the primers and powder. Anyway, I hung around to shoot a little (never waste a trip to the range) and about the time I was leaving a guy drives in with a bunch of stuff he was going to try to sell at the "garage sale". I drove off with over 1800 rounds of 22 LR and 900 Sm Rifle Primers for $70.

Woo hoo! The going rate for shot is about what you paid for everything! Give or take a buck or two.

Good score M-Tecs. I’ve found that used shotgun reloading equipment is often a bargain as there seems to be a lot less interest in reloading shotshells than rifle and handgun cartridges, at least in my area. And at yard sales very often the seller has no idea what they have, it’s Grandpa’s old “reloading gizmo” but that’s about all they can tell you.

I went to a garage sale yesterday. It turned out to be a pretty good one - got a Hoppe's gun cleaning kit that does everything from 22 to 12 gauge shotgun for rifles and pistols, brand new in the original metal box for $5. It has a bottle of Hoppes #9 of course and a bottle of Hoppes gun oil - both brand new and unopened. There are cleaning rods that fit any length pistol or rifle or shotgun and 6 bore brushes in various sizes.

    Speaking of garage sales...
Today I picked this up from one, with a partial box of shells, for $150.

Bet that 10gauge will kill at both ends, based on experience with 3” magnums in a H&R 12 gauge.

My uncle had one and yes shooting a 3 1/2 10-gauge two ounces load was not fun.

Nice score. I’ve been looking for a 266 to try. Looks like a rock solid single stage. I like the simplicity.
