It is with some sadness that I have read the post by "Tom", or as he said his real name is Larry.
I appreciate the fact that he told us the real situation at Accurate Molds.
I unfortunately have only one mold from Accurate, a 4 cavity brass mold 235gr RN in 45 ACP, it actually has a small meplat, so it is not completely round at the top.
It is one, if not the best mold I have, and I recall the ordering from Tom via the website and emails regarding the design of the boolit.
The whole process went smooth with zero issues, and I absolutely love that mold, so is my 1911!
But, I suppose all good things comes to an end at some point, at least I have one of his master pieces!
Enjoy your retirement Larry!
Just called Accurate Molds. A voice answered by asking my name. Then told me to leave a message, which I did. I stated that I was calling about an Order #XXXXXX. I also stated the same information that I included in my original post of this thread. I finally ended the call since there was no further information.
It would seem to me that these people are running a fraudulent enterprise by representing themselves as "Tom", the former owner.
My check written on April 8, 2024 cleared on May 9, 2024. It cleared Bank of America in Richmond, VA. Other than the bank stamp, no other information is readable on the check image.
I'm curious if 405grain is still as confident that he will receive a good mold.

How can anyone call Accurate Molds? There has never been a phone number.
I used to run a woodworking shop, and much of my machining work over the years was ruined by the constant interruption of phone calls and walk-ins. I AM very hard of hearing, but I wouldn't have posted a phone number for Accurate even if I weren't.
Incoming calls would have ruined many molds.
I entered this thread simply to offer full disclosure, and to assure all that if you've waited too long for an email answer, please just try again.
As for the 357 Sig boolit designs, I don't know what happened there but I can say that with custom work I have often had to remind customers that I can probably make what you want, but I cannot tell you what you want. Having no experience with the cartridge, the mold maker cannot provide suggestive input and that's really not his job.
Phone is listed under contact info on the site. I have 4 or 5 accurate molds, one in the last 14 months, and they all work great.

That's the number for the credit card processing company.
I would suggest that we spread the work about the current "Accurate Molds". Maybe it will save others from wasting their money. I don't know if the current owners paid a reasonable amount for the business or obtained it by fraudulent means and "Tom" is embarrassed to admit it. I know that I was scammed last year and lost an appreciable amount. I was embarrassed too. Amazing how many other victims show up when you finally admit your lack of smarts.

as a accurate molds customer with close to a dozen of their molds i would have appreciated an announcement of the retirement and sale and an introduction to the new team... quite understandable for a transition phase to be challenging for all involved... i do hope customers will cut them some slack as they grow into a demanding and complex business... they have very big shoes to fill as Accurate Molds are as good or better than any made and sold anywhere in the world. i know we all have felt supply train problems disrupt our plans and immediate unfulfilled desires... good stuff is worth the wait... might as well have the best...

Wow! Google has the address wrong, the phone number is my personal #, and that's such a lovely view of a private residence!
I have more than 15 molds from Accurate and they are the best I have ever used. While all of this is a little strange I dont care what their name is as long as I keep getting molds like I have. Mp has burned me for a lot of money and they have burned many others here. I will never do business with them again no matter. Of course Lee is a joke.
Accurate is the only mold maker that has not burned me!!

I have ordered and received three molds from accurate in the last year. No problems or any noticable difference from molds from years ago.
I've ordered six or eight molds from Accurate and they've all been perfect.I've only ordered one mold in the last year and a half .And it was the only one I ever got that the dimensions were quite off (oversized by .003+) I emailed back saying the mold was usable but could they please update the bullet plot so people know what they are getting. That never happened and I never got a response.
I thought I was being rather polite Not sending it back and complaining.I would have assumed they would have thanked me for keeping them mold and just asking to update dimensions.
The quality of the mold (wonderful) was no different than when Larry was running it and I would order from them again. They don't in my opinion.Charge enough for the service they provide.

Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries
I'm glad that so many here are extremely satisfied with molds ordered recently from Accurate Molds.
It almost sounds like my experience is either made up by me or something else is interfering.
If JonB_in_Glencoe's numbers are correct and I don't doubt them, $108,793 in annual revenue with 6 employees is going to leave those 6 eating a lot of beans and ramen noodles.
Tom's/Larry's info about the picture being a private residence is evidence of Google being given some misleading information.
I've written off my $126 and am going to quit wasting my time trying to extract a mold from these crooks.

I recently ordered a new 4 cavity ALUMINUM mold from ‘Tom’. Didn’t know Larry had sold business, etc.
Received it and it was supposed to be READY TO GO. It wasn’t. They worked with me and we got it all ironed out as it was adjustments.
Casts super bullets! I was pleased, who ever made it and received it in half the time estimated.
Question for Larry: If I send an email to "tom@accuratemolds.com" will it go to you, or the new owners ? I was preparing to make my first order from them soon, but given this thread, would need some communication and reassurances from them before sending any money. I agree with others that if you have any interest at all in their future, you may want to contact them and ask them to come on here an address the issues.
That same email is still correct for Accurate Molds.
A new post office box is shown at the website, since late 2022.
The same machine shop remains in the same place (not a residence) in SLC.
I've informed the new Tom of this thread.
I hope "new Tom" read my comments and respond with a tracking number. Although at this late date, I doubt that it will help.
I guess they will breath easier since I've written off the $126 I paid for the mold. If they actually mailed it, it was either "appropriated" by a postal employee or ended up under some machinery in one of the pass thru post offices(?).
I sure do hate to remove Accurate Molds from my bookmarks but don't really have a choice. I will treasure the one accurate mold I have that was purchased before the change in owners.
