Ordered on 7/24. 8 week lead. Found this thread today. I'll let you know if/when it arrives.
I have sent 6 emails to Tom/Curly/Larry or Moe in the last week with no reply. If it takes me 8 weeks to order and then 8 weeks to receive, maybe I'll get it by Christmas.

I ordered a 5 cavity 9 mm mold today. I'll let you know.
I ordered an iron mold in May, was told it would take 8 weeks. I received it in good order in less than 8 weeks.
I think Tom/Daniel is doing well. What do you want him to spend his time doing, making great molds or answering emails ? He will get to when he gets to you.
This post was not directed at WVJOE. But to the whiners and complainers.

So you're saying he can't walk and chew gum at the same time? Good businesses answer the phone, answer their emails, AND produce whatever their product is. And, I am labeled a "whiner" because no one answered any of my six emails trying to do business with him in over a week? Get real - You obviously never had a business.

EDIT:
Just got a reply for my email inquiry! Did my whining here help? Who knows but now I know it can be made and I can place an order.

I just saw this thread. No email reply here either.
I'm only asking if he/they can make a certain .375 mold as NLG/BB. I would order it in a heartbeat. They made me a great 470 NE mold that way a few years ago.

I also FINALLY got a reply after more than a week of emails. Just ordered their 31-171B mold with 2 changes; a plain base instead of a gas check, and a .2" meplat instead of .18". Here's hoping the new guys work is up to snuff.

I ordered a 9mm mold Friday, 8/23 and the "special notes" box was too small to get in all my changes to a current catalog design. I sent an email the next day, Saturday 8/24, with additional changes to the design. Daniel acknowledged that email early Monday, 8/26. It just doesn't get any better than that.
Do I have to order a mold in order to get them to reply to an e-mail? I've asked a few times over a course of months on potential in stock status with no reply.. I'll order it if I have too but the item I need is not in stock to order...
Petander: Beautiful rifle; tell us about it. What type of scope is that?
150 days since my order in April:
G'day.
I have old Accurate molds for the Ballisticast machines and they are great, Old Tom actually sent me 2 sets of Aluminuim molds for no charge due to a customer saying they were no good. These molds work fine. Operator error. They are 45 and 401 mold sets.
Over the last 12 months I have ordered and received 4 6 cavity hand molds. Wait times as stated of 8 weeks were beaten by 2 to 3 weeks. and that is even with postage to Australia. New Accurate molds are casting just as good as Old Accurate molds. Zero issues.
I really hope that New Tom will uppdate their equipment to allow a full round nose to be machined.
I have molds for the Ballisticast machines for Ballist, Hardline, NVM and Accurate. the best molds are the Hardline and NVM. it's a shame thet no longer are making Molds.
The good thing is that now Magma is down here in OZ, They will be making molds to fit the Ballisticast machines as well as the Magma machines.
Hooroo.
Regards, Trevor.

All this got me to asking if anybody has started making molds in the LBT design? If Veral is not going to rebuild after the fire, it would sure be nice to have his genius of mold making live on through a continuation of LBT. I know that Veral had a stroke in late Feb. this year and he is in a facility in Idaho so the chances that he would ever be able to make molds again are slim to none.

IT AINT what ya shoot--its how ya shoot it. NONE of us are as smart as ALL of us! The more I travel, the more I like right where I am.
A lot of folks have copied his nose but Veral wanted 5 things IIRC. A wide round flat nose with minimal taper, gas check with room for scraped lube and lead pieces, lube groove sufficient to hold enough of his lube, open trough sprue plate with a hold down clip and something else I can't recall without looking it up. It might be enough bullet outside the case to not interfere with case capacity. Several mold makers might get two out of five but not all.

Good Lord....five pages of drama. If you guys don't like Accurate molds, maybe try NOE. Oh wait, most of their designs are NOT in stock and they dang sure won't make anything to order. Guess Accurate may not be so bad after all.
FWIW I ordered a mold from them in March, wanting to modify one of their standard designs. They were pretty responsive and when I ordered the mold it arrived quicker than expected.
Because engaging in the drama and whining going on here would be counterproductive to production and wouldn't help a thing.

The biggest waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who doesn't care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions.
There are people who, for all the evidence presented to them, do not have the ability to understand.
