Thanks to this thread, my trust in Accurate Molds has been increased. Glad you're out there, "Tom!"

Well, has anyone else noticed that the Accurate Molds catalog has changed? Used to be that under each mold design, it was shown the number of that particular design that had been sold - That's all gone now. Every design now shows " 0 sold " . I can't see for the life of me why someone would make that kind of modification to the catalog. I certainly hope that information is not lost - I found it beneficial in choosing a mold design and i suspect others may have as well........................... Not a great decision, or mistake in my opinion to remove this information

I agree, when poring over designs in their catalog, I found the number sold to be very useful as reference material.
I hope the information still exists, and can be put back in the catalog. One easy way might be to start with the most
popular molds first, and work down to those that only sold 1 or 2. If time is critical, once you've listed, say, all those
that sold 3 or more, you could leave the rest blank and include a blanket statement that "0" = less than 3 (or whatever)
    sold.

I've been planning on getting at least 1 Accurate Mold, and based on what I see here, I have no hesitation to order from them.
I'm sure glad we haven't lost them as a resource!!!

Best of luck to the new owners!
    John

I know a lot of people here remember the Ballisticast fiasco years back, and Pat Marlin of course.

I am pleased to see that Accurate is still hanging in there. I had thought that it was common knowledge on the forum of the transition in ownership of AM. Having bought both prior to and after the ownership change, I have been pleased. Sounds like Daniel and company are working towards smoothingbthings out. Remember, many industries are still dealing with material shortages.

After , over three weeks , I finally received a reply today, that Accurate received my order, & money order. I had to send three e-mail request before I received a reply that my order was received. With the old owners , I was notified as soon as they received the order. The new owners apologized & said they had not been to their PO box for two weeks. As a customer, better late than never. Still a bit disappointed.

So there is still a shortage / supply chain issue with an aluminum block? Its time for businesses to stop making excuses.

Sorry I missed your question about what mold. It was Accurate # 48-325P. I wanted it for my .475 Linebaugh. At 82, I'm not able to shoot the 380-425 grain boolets any more. Even with a light charge, they recoil more than I can handle now. I've never hunted with the gun but mainly bought it just because. I bought it second hand but unfired from an individual. Since John Linebaugh passed away it has taken on more meaning for me than before.

I for one am glad to know somebody was willing to invest in our future of being able to order a custom mold. Hang in there Tom/Daniel. You will always have my support, business, and eternal thanks as long as you give it your best.

I just read this entire thread front to back and one think I picked up on is that the new owner, Danial, only responded here through the old owner, Larry's, membership. And even though he acknowledged that he had underestimated this site he still never joined and has never posted again. I am looking for a couple molds but I am going to hold out for a while and see if things improve. If you are running a business and depending on a PO box for your mail that is fine, but pick up your mail every day!!!!!! It has been two months since Daniel made that post and we have not seen anything else from him since. What we have seen is continuing communication issues.

I ordered a mold 9 weeks ago. When I ordered it said the delivery time was 8 weeks, and I received it in 8 weeks. Longer than used to be but the mold works perfect, just like my other 12 Accurate Molds. So I will continue to use them in the future as they are my favorite molds of all the ones I have, and I have about 120 of them from most every manufacturer.

A very large portion of Daniel’s customer base is on this site. Why would you not join and engage with your customers? You should also update the website. I can’t call because you are nearly deaf Daniel? Time to step out on your own in the world. And please answer some emails.

The number of molds sold has reappeared in the catalog. I want to order a mold that's already in the catalog, but I want to make some changes that will cause it to be a different design. This new way of ordering, I don't think, will let me know if my changes were made before the mold gets cut. The old way is emailing Tom of the changes wanted and he would email back that the new design is in the catalog for me to check it out. Then I would send payment and it got made. With lack of responses by email by the new owner, how do I know that I'll get the new design? I want to order popper's 35-135S, but changed from a bevel base to a flat base and the base band shortened to weigh 125 grains. I also want the nose cut to a smaller diameter.

I don't think you will be able to specify a smaller nose. In the past there was a minimum nose size of .180" and that is what the nose is on the 35-135-S.

I said it wrong. I actually meant the part of the nose next to the top driving band. Most of my Accurate molds has that .180 meplat

I ordered a mold back in April, brass two cavity.
It was at my door in 4 weeks. Darn good mold, real happy with it!
Been thinking about another one. But will wait and see if the fog clears?
