1896 swede
I really enjoy shooting my 1884 Springfield 45-70 calvary carbine
Not sure why I can never add a photo?
'96 Swede, DWM built '08 Brazilian, '03 Springfield.
I have to say my favorite so far has been the No 1 Mk III Lee enfield rifle.
If I had to run out of my house and could take only one milsurp rifle, it would be me M96T rifle. Or, if that doesn't count, the M96
Springfield Armory SAR48 FAL, in FN 50.00 configuration.
Not mine, but my SAR 48 looks just like it:

The M-96 in 6.5x55 is hard to beat. I prefer the me modified version, like so:

My 1942 Plane Jane sporter 03-A3.
My No5Mk1 303 British of course, I consistently hit targets at 200 yds with the factory aperture sights.
I have shot 8mm Mauser rifles in every form, I shot and owned a few 03 and 03-a3 Springfield rifles, I have had a few Krag rifles in 6.5x55 and in the nicely made M38 Swede and 30-40 Krag.
I sold all those and kept the No5Mk1, it has taken my largest moose to date.
It has plenty of knock down power and has a 10 round magazine to make sure something big and fuzzy doesn't eat me.
and it looks cool...............
The 45-70, the only Government I trust.

That look on your face, when you shift into 6th gear, but it's not there.
Several favorites. For accuracy hands down my 1941 VKT Finnish M39. For just ease of use and right up there in the accuracy department one of my 03-A3’s(it’s a Remington). For Mod Iron that is no slouch in accuracy and a great battle rifle, although cock on close is not my favorite my Eddystone M1917 w/ a Parker-Hale 5B diopter rear sight. And just my favorite all around cool great milsurp rifle the M1 Garand.
I would have to say the 1917 Winchester American enfiled is my favorite just because I haven't shot most of the rest of them.
I wouldn't know where to start.
A tie. My 1891 artillery carbine and my Brazilian 7mm VZ24.
If there were ever a global apocalypse and the whole world turned into a Mad Max movie, an SKS and as much steel case 7.62x39 as I could carry would be my first choice. No frills, it just gets the job done. Barring that (mostly because global apocalypse is not likely to ever happen), if the house were on fire and I could only carry out one gun it would be a 1937 "P" series VZ-24 sporter in 7x57 that was built on an a WW2 Imperial Japanese Mauser. Beautiful rifle. Pisses off Milsurp collectors because it's such a rare gun, and it's sporterized, plus it has sub MOA accuracy.
