Bubbas are everywhere.
Probably my first, a trapdoor in 50-70. Bought it in 1990 for $250 with RCBS dies and ~100 pieces of Dixie brass.
I had looked at it several weeks earlier, it was marked $375, no notation about dies or brass on the hang tag.
Second time around the price had dropped and the dies and brass appeared.
It followed me home.
My only excuse was I was left unsupervised. My wife and our year old daughter had gone to visit her parents, leaving me to my own devices.
It's all her fault!
Close second is the P14 with the volley sight attachment plate still on the stock.
I would love to have a complete volley sight for that rifle.
May Not have been Bubba....May have been the Fighting Man who Carried it....Maybe.
anyway...I'll take a BRNO, over absolutely Anything.. A Persian would be nice!!!!
I like my Swiss K31. Accurate and good trigger.
Definately my M17 and P14 Enfield rifles. Dominated the Club championships for 26 years! The M17 (top) is an original 3/17 Winchester.

Being honest, the sight hood and sling are reproductions for looks. I haven't seen an authentic hood at a price I'll pay. Same reason I have one original magazine and a reproduction I doctored to work - $.
I did install an Apfeltor shooter's kit and reproduction extractor, screw and spring to protect the originals. The original parts are preserved for if and when I pass it to a new keeper.
M-14, M1 Garand followed by Trapdoor Springfields.

Certainly not rare but my favorite is my '41 Husqvarna ...an absolute tack driver. Grandma is 83 years old and she will outshoot MANY factory rifles produced today.
My eyes are failing so it wears a Burris 2-7x32 on a mount that does not modify any of the parts. I can have it back to the way she left the factory in 10-15 minutes.
44.0g of H4350 and a Hornady 140g HPBT will ring a 3 inch steel target at 200 yards until you get bored.

For nostalgia, Krags. Have yet to afford an "as-issued", but I do have a sporterized Norwegian based on one of the few built under Nazi control. One of my "carbine replicas" did very well with cast bullets.
For accuracy, K-31s, hands down, both milsurp ammo and cast.
Have my Mausers, have my Springfields, have a 1917....they just don't speak to me.

My favorite is a 1944 Lee Enfield #4 that was given to me by my brother in law. The rifle was built in England by BSA and has seen its share of use. It has a matching # stock and magazine and a very good bore though it's somewhat worn. It is a wonderful cast bullet shooter that I frequently use for CMP matches. Just a fun gun to load for and shoot.
it is been passed down by my grandpap, but a M1 30 Carbine is a great gun.
my favorite is a (also handed down by my great grand pap) sporterized 1898 Springfield Armory in 30-40 Krag with Redfield 102K aperture sights. i use a 173gr Ranch Dog with H4198 thats goes 1926fps and it will kill deer. on average, the RD is around 1.25 - 1.75" at 100 yards (5 shots/bench), but only one time (the shooting gods smiled upon me or the rifle says "hold my beer....) she shot a 3/4" group at 100 yards (5 shots/bench).

My favorite is also an M1 carbine. My father was armed with one when he landed on Omaha beach on D Day, his introduction to combat. The one I have, handed down by dad is a 1943 production Winchester. Have a sentimental attachment to the carbine, as I harvested my first deer with it when I was 9 years old. In a unique twist my father also harvested his first big game in Europe later in the war with an M1 carbine. Not sure what kind of deer it was, dad said they supplemented their rations with fresh meat when an opportunity presented itself. Dad also carried a carbine in Korea but it was the M2 full auto version.
