    Lee 90344 boolit mold.

Digging through our boolit molds I found this Lee single cavity 90344 mold.

    Casted up fifty of them.

Came out at .430 and 240grns with my salvaged lead.

Tried google and duckduck for the 90344 mold and all I can find is a die set with that #. No luck on the Lee site either.

Casts real good boolits and they look nice. Going to try a few in my 44-40 roller since it's a single shot so nose shape is not an issue.

Anyone know anything about this particular mold?

My WAG says it was meant for the .44 Special.

I’ve not seen one like it. I’d guess it would be called 429-240-1R. It looks shorter in the nose than the current 429-240-2R.

Lee numbers changed every few years and they never kept track of them. If it shoots well, congratulations.

for sure before produced before 2002_
Food is overrated. A nice rifle is way more important.
