    IMR4227 and 38-55win

I have a lot of IMR4227 and wondering if it would be a good choice to use in reloading with a 255gr rnfp bootlit in a 38-55win Henry? If so what would be a good starting load to use?

Rights, and Privileges, are not synonymous. We have the Right to Bear Arms. As soon as the Government mandates firearm registration, and permiting, then that Right becomes a Privilege, and may be taken away at our Master's discretion.

I have a Winchester 1894 with 26" octagon barrel , left the factory in 1897 . I cast and size my LEE 255 gr bullets .379 . My notes show 18 gr / 4227 yields approx 1350 fps . My favorite and most accurate load is 22 grs of either H or IMR 4198 . Hope this helps , Regards Paul
