170 is an oddball weight for 35 cal projectiles. There is not a lot of test data with pressure in psi for the 170 to 180 range for boolits.

As noted seating depth will matter.

It was noted that there is also no info posted on the gun, the application or the desired powders to be used.

I recommend the OP use a dummy round and/or the mold to estimate bullet length and seating depth and post the values in this thread. Also he should post the "as cast" boolit weight.

Figuring out seating depth is easy for the mold/bullet you have but it can be a challenge to determine seating depth for tested loads. We can usually help with the last piece.

The OP should also provide some info on guns and some info on desire usage. Providing a list of powders on hand (or willing to get) is also a plus.

It is a Lee 90324 mold , .358 166 grain SWC marketed for .38 Special and .357 Mag. I would like to use it but am at a loss for any possible data. Anyone out there have experiance with this mold ? Any help is greatly appreciated ! Thanks for your time.
I have one of those bought back in the seventies. My load is 15.5 grains of H110 with a magnum primer. This is not a max load but close. Hope this helps.

Just going through my reloading notes about this boolit and in the .357 mag at full power it will over penetrate. From my notes my brother shot a deer in the brisket with a MAX load of H110 and the boolit went straight through the deer and out the rear leg. Not enough Meplat.
