So sorry for your loss. My dad died in 2015, and I so wish I could pick up the phone and call him, just to talk one more time. Not trying to push anything, but I always find John 5:28, 29 comforting. YMMV.
Sounds like you and your dad were close. As a father now myself, I bet he was proud of you.

I lost my dad four years ago, and miss him all the time, even though we never had a good relationship.

Condolences. Mine passed in 1993, miss him every day. Cherish the memories, good and bad. They all made him and you what you are and him what he was. Couldn't tell you the number of times I would've loved to have discussed something with him, shown him something that was of interest or any number of a thousand things. Life comes and it goes, sometimes just too fast
