I am sorry for your loss. My wife and I have been through it too many times. It never gets any easier.
Sorry for your loss. I have outlived 2 wonderful dogs since retiring in 1996 and now I have Blue Heeler, Nikki, who is age six. It seems we will both exit about the same time in 5 or 6 years. If I erred in the past, it was I often waited too long for the LAST trip over the hill to the vet's office for the final injection.
