    Does anone load 223 54gr tracers ?

    Looking for a load for 54 grain tracers / what powder is the best for this bullet ?

    WC844t or equivalent , if you stocked up on tracers and powder when it was available it should have listed the load if you were buying surplus , if on the other hand you picked up tracer lately then most do not list powder or load , easy google here or other sites .

    Do these have the copper plug in base or not? If not you will find a % will not light , as always be careful where you shoot , my experience is they do not light till they are out a ways .

    I am curious, how do you employ your tracers? Where do you reside? Most gun clubs prohibit firing tracers and our fire wardens ban them during dry conditions that promote fire danger.

    It is fun to watch a bullet Light Up, but how do you do it safely?

    Well , never gave that a thought , only have 30 if that I found in a junk box the old man had . Guess I'll sh__ can them , safely of course !

    Thanks for the reply. Folks need to know there is a Fire Hazard with firing tracers. There are many cases regarding that fact. If firing tracers can be done safely, Go For It. If not: Cease Fire! LOL.
