    MP Molds -mold handles?

Do I need to use MP’s handles (4 cav ) or will lyman , saeco , lee or some other homegrown handle fit and function ?

Lee six cavity handles work fine. I have a couple dozen mp molds and have never owned a set of mp handles.
Due to the price of primers, warning shots will no longer be given!

The Lee handles are the best for me! The Lee handles fit closer together when the mold is fully closed which allows me to cast with out my hands an elbow s cramping up.

The mp handles are better made and may be better for someone bullet casting with longer fingers than I have.

My 2xMP handles sit only moderately used in the ammo can behind the tool box. I did kind of beat them up learning which handles made the mold easier for me to use.

Quick steel high temp epoxy from the auto parts store worked well to effectively reattach all wooden handles irregardless of brand of manufacturer.

Maybe buy both and see which you prefer in your hands.

Thanks Fellas ! While you were kind enough to post your replies, I found a sticky (above) that provided a list of different molds that Lee 6 cav handles will fit .

I have mp handles snd dislike them. When closed on a mold they are much too spread apart for a comfortable grip.

I also find the MP handles a bit much for small hands.

I’ve considered sanding the outsides where the hand actually grips them, but didn’t bother, having plenty of Lee handles to use.

I have a set of MP handles and while "dislike" might be too strong a term, I definitely prefer standard Lee handles. The MP handles have the steel cut a little narrower in the tang, and when I squeeze the moulds closed there is noticeably more flex in them than I see with the Lee.
