    under sized lube sizer dies

I take it they should be slightly under sized ? I pinned a couple and are like .0005 under. I have Lyman 4 hole H&I dies. Pretty standard ?

    Sized Bullet Diameters- Springback.

Bullets sized diameter depends on alloy used. The harder the alloy, the larger the sized diameter.

    Compare near pure to linotype.

Alloys have some springback. different alloys...different springback.

Just push your boolits through your die to see what size you're getting. It's the only way you will know for sure what size your die should be. I'm not sure there is any standard.

Well l pin gauged a .431 die with a .431 gauge and it doesn’t go to far into the die, not even half way. Just wondering is a die supposed to be what diameter it’s stamped on top of the die or not ?

Looks like no matter what the alloy is from your casting and sizing the sized boolit isn’t that far off to matter. .001-.004… guess the harder, barrel fit would be effected.

What size are the boolits after sizing with the .331 die using your alloy?

Thanks for the info... I just read an article about throat bullet size and groove diameter and how altering bullet diameter along it's path can effect accuracy of casts.

    Found this interesting article
