A Tactical 12 Gauge ML Double Barreled Shotgun? YES PLEASE!

When these Diablo pistols came out I thought they were neat, but no part of me wanted that kind of recoil in a pistol and they seemed impractical. I always told myself, if they gave it a stock it would be awesome and I'd buy one. Well, now they do! I'm going to order the 11" barrel.

The whole reason I really got into BP was to find a practical way to hunt and fight in case normal components become hard to find or illegal. This gun would fit the bill nicely with a few cap and ball revolvers on my belt.

you can do the same thing with any shotgun loaded with black powder and a pump with 6 or 8 shells is no laughing matter serious firepower.

I’ve looked at their pistols before. Can’t deny the hole in the barrel is 12 gauge, but 1/2 ounce of shot sounds like a weak 410 load to me.

Yes, but the ATF wouldn't like it if you cut it down to 11, 8 or 6 inches without a stamp.

That's what they recommend in pistols and I think it's more so you don't break your wrist.

Well, it IS tactical, and no doubt ballistic, too!

Where's that purple font when you need it?
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

I guess I’m a little on the spectrum and don’t always recognize humor.

40 grains of black powder and 220 grains of lead sounds like a 45 Colt load. Nowhere near what I think of a 12 gauge being. Weaker than a decent 357 magnum load.

I have a very old damascus 12 ga double that loves about 80 grains of 2F and an ounce or so of lead shot, or even a single/double round ball of about .60 caliber. Patterns nicely, recoil is mild and will get the job done. I use brass shells.

Ya still gotta have or make CAPS! My flinchlocks are NOT tacticool, but components can easily be produced.

I have often wondered what kind of pressure the Diablo pistol would take seems with a 209 primer 10 gains of fast smokeless would not give much pressure under even an ounce payload.
When I think back on all the **** I learned in high school it's a wonder I can think at all ! And then my lack of education hasn't hurt me none I can read the writing on the wall.
