    Reproduction Springfield

    Hey Guys,
I have a good friend that wants to get in to reenacting and is looking for a reasonable priced Springfield. Sure would like to help him if I can and would appreciate any leads.
    Thanks,
    Wayne

Edit to improve my listing with a bit more info…
So he wants to reenact as a civil war Confederate soldier. Frankly, I’ve no clue what rifle he needs, so I leave that up to the esteemed and very knowledgeable fellows here.

If he wants a Civil War era Springfield musket or caplock rifle, that's one thing. Various Italian companies have made some good reproductions of the Civil War rifles. Next, you want to find out if he is Yank or Reb reenacting. Different guns. The one that comes to mind for a Yank would be the Model 1861 Springfield, or perhaps a 1863 Zouave rifle for a Reb or Yank. Finally, does he need one that passes the N/SSA regulations?

Some of these reproductions would probably be able to be found, used, in well stocked gun shops in the Southern US. Dixie Gun Works still sells a bunch of newly made reproductions.

If he's reenacting a WW I or WW II campaign, that's totally different - no one has made reproductions of Krags, 1903s or M1 rifles except the Garands recently made by Springfield Armory (commercial company). Way too many of the originals are still around for anyone to make much of a living off of reproducing them.

Colt Signature Series 2 Band Musket with Bayonet
    $1000.00

Hi, this is a brand new never fired Colt Signature Series 2 band musket with bayonet. The musket is in great shape and still has all its bright finish. It is in brand new shape.
