Most of the ones I got at that price have been used. Now we get to pay the higher price or quit reloading - ain't gonna happen.

Yeah, I got 2,000 Federal 215 Magnum LRP's back in osama's reign that cost $45/1,000. It was way too high at the time but glad I got them to feed my two Weatherby rifles. I have another 1,000 that I had bought for twenty something dollars further back in time. 3,000 primers for a Weatherby hunting rifle is a lifetime supply for my purposes. I've just now almost used the original 1,000 that I bought back in 1987 for my 460.

Out of curiosity, where did you buy them from, was it Powder Valley or another source? I wonder if they just got a bad batch in stock, as I have generally heard good things about that brand.

Also, good to see another Tulsa Guy on here.
I bought them online from Norma. They won't accept returns on powder or primers. Not sure I want to be the final quality control guy either.

Bi Mart, in Grants Pass, OR, finally has primers, mostly CCI.
They are running at $.08 apiece.

I haven't seen LRP or LP primers in my LGS for a long while. Plenty of SPP, SRP MAG and BR primers to go around though. Managed to get 1k LRP and 1k LPP at an auction last week. Paid 75 for one and 85 for the other. Surprisingly didn't have a bidding war for them. SPP bids got a little dicey.

No limits. No shipping over $150 and no Hazmat. Can’t beat it.
That's what all primers should be. It's all about greed from manufacturers and retail outlets now. That's all.

Well if they are selling them , they probably use them in their ammo. All primers go bang.

If they are on sale, that means they have been overcharging all this time.

Yep overcharging! Bought 5k from MSS just in case . Low and behold ran across a brick of Remington small pistol primers while making room for the new stock that came out of a widows closet dated 1981 with $8.71 k on the package....where is my time machine? 1981 here I come!

Today at a grand opening (good luck to them!) a Turner’s Outdoorsman here in Northern California has Winchester and Federal pistol primers by the hundred running $86 to $90 (or Fiocchi’s by the 1500 for $130). No LR or shot shell primers, and the Federal small pistol were sold out. A limited selection of powders were available at $40+/#.

Shooting buddy had some of those today and wouldn't fire double action. My Winchester primers worked 100% in his gun. Dent was deeper in the Win. also.

Many people put a weaker than factory spec spring in their revolvers or either adjust the spring tension to the point where impact is just enough to work under optimal conditions.

I grabbed 300 WSP last week from Academy online to test out if they really qualify for free shipping when you get over the $25 mark. They did.
