Help identify my 50 caliber DC bullet mold

I bought this mold quite a few years ago to cast 300 gr. express boolits for my 1886 Winchester chambered in .50 Alaskan. I also use them in my .50 Smith carbine with great results. I'd really like to find who made the mold but the only marking as shown in the photos is "375 R". Can anyone help me with this mystery? Thanks in advance!

Being marked the way it is, 375-R makes me wonder if it isn't an RCBS 375 roundball mold recut to 50 cal.Everything about it is saying to me "RCBS". If it has a really thin handle cut it could also be a Lachmiller block.

There are, or most likely used to be, shops that would recut molds for special purposes. There is a large number of Lyman and Ideal molds on ebay right now that must have come from a single-shot collectors collection. These moulds were all recut specifically to single shot rifle calibers, Schuetzen designs mostly. However these were all remarked and all show tremendous attention to detail. You might look those over and see if you can identify the machinist that did them. I also noticed a few molds cut on blank mold blocks like Lyman used to furnish. You can still see them on auction sites from time to time. RCBS used to offer them too, as did Lee.

ya maybe an Qhaus as I don't recall they put their name on molds. Re cutting is common enough.Saves tool life and donor mold may be useless or badly buggered up. Single cav .38 wad cutter come to mind.
