All our prayers are with Her, You as well. Doctors may give her weeks, but the Lord will decide her fate, trust in him to bring her through as miricles happen all the time. There is strength in the Lord Jesus, asking his presence with Denise every monment, that through him she finds comfort in knowing his will, his power.

I watched my dear wife pass away over a period of several months. It's not easy.

Denise passed away today. She had a hospice worker bathe her, changed her bedding this afternoon. 45 minutes later she was with her maker.

Lots of tears and sadness. Calls to her family were difficult. Her father was able to talk to her yesterday on speaker phone and she did give a little moan. In my mind she recognized his voice. I had to make calls to my family, its been difficult. Neighbors are all willing to help in any way they can.

Sorry for your loss Pete, truly sad when we lose someone we love. Had to say goodbye (actually it was see you later Dad) to my Dad after he succumbed to a rather tragic accident in his woodshop. It's never easy .

Denise has been in the hospital for a week with breathing problems. Suffering with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and liver disease. The body is filling with fluids, hence the breathing problems. Now being sent home with drains installed and on hospice. There is no cure, Doctors say she has weeks. She is only 59. We have been together for 40 years.
Pray for comfort and to give me the strength to deal with this.

Pete -- you surely (as well as, of course, your wife!) are in my thoughts and prayers. I shutter to think of what you both are going through, and , perhaps, you can talk about some of the good times and experiences you enjoyed through the wonderful years you shared? A close friend, albeit it was hubby who was hurting (esophageal cancer), actually worked on and made a written list of some of their vacation, events with kids, and even a car accident anecdote experience she shared: Returning home from a shopping trip she lamented how she was "in need of a potty", but shortly after, another driver ran a red light and t-boned them. Albeit their car was totaled from the impact, neither sustained any major injuries. However -- the memory -- hubby asked after impact, "I bet you no longer need to get to a bathroom?" The list really kept their strengths up -- as well as a lasting memorial.

I am so sorry for your loss!
I am grateful that you have friends that are offering their support - it's obvious that you and your wife have fostered that response from your lives well lived. I truly and wholeheartedly believe that those offers are visits from our Lord and Saviour becoming life through the living.
