With price and availability of primers imo it’s cheaper shooting 22lr. They’re were cases of 22lr at Walmart again the other day. The 22lr drought is long over. Prices have gone up a couple dollars. Around $17.99 per 350/400 rounds on average. So 22lr ammo at a nickel a round is half the cost of a ten cent primer on average. The Remington nitro turkey ammo at Walmart also went up $2.50 per 10 rounds in the last 3 years from $5.99 to $8.48 per box. The other shotgun ammo skyrocketed there. The $19.99 and $21.99 trap loads have doubled in price and $5.99 shotgun game loads have tripled in price.
