Reload or Toss

Bought these for the brass stripper clips ($2 ea!) they came on. Dates are mostly 1930s with the majority being FA37NM. I'm not a huge collector...so toss...reload or find someone who wants them?

I'd probably clean them up and reload them, I'm not much of a collector. Maybe keep one for giggles.

All of my 30-06 brass that gets loaded with cast bullets only looks like that.
It is good brass.
A 1934 FA just split its neck- so I converted it to 7.65x53 mm.
Otherwise they are hanging in there.

Heck I think it’s neat. I say offer for sale or gifts, definitely don’t toss it!

Those Frankford Arsenal cases from the 30's are good ones, some of the best '06 brass ever made IMO. Too bad they're mixed headstamps though. Clean them, anneal the necks, and use them.

1918 ! you don't see stuf that old any more. I suggest you post for sale. I might bid on them. Some guys collect cartridges of one type, like 30-06. There are 100's of different head stamps. Some body wants these.

Those old Westerns would be what I'd want. For me, it's the history. I'd love to find some old 30-30 from that era.

I have a bunch pf old brass like that I think 18 is the oldest I load it but have a lot that is just once fired .

I do have a odd one set aside loaded it is a lead foraging round from 1918 I can not even find information on them in the WWW I read something in a book somewhere in the past .

I have some turn of the century 30-40 brass. It literally shattered when I tried to resize it. I suspect mercury primers. My guess is they were fired and kicked around for over a hundred years as fired cases until I came into possession of them 6-8 years ago. First couple shattered. Then I annealed what was left, didn't help one bit. Bummer, it is nice looking brass.

I have loaded 30-06 brass from the 30's. Pulled the bullets, replaced the primers, reused the powder. Nice cases. Still have a big pile of brass that was taken down and never reloaded. Think the original primers are still in the cases.

Another thing I need to get rid of before my daughter takes my name in vain when I'm drooling in my soup. Or worse.

15 meter I do have a single loaded 30 government case marked "98" nice looking round the case looks to be tinned or nickeled .

That would match my 1918 dated Winchester 1917 enfield. Cool! Save them and load or use in our helping hands or PIF section if you don’t keep them.

If fired with mercury fulmanate priming, they could have corrosion cracking internally. How many low pressure cycles before failure; your guess is as good as mine. I think they’re neat but wouldn’t risk using them especially when new safe brass is available. Even 22 rimfire (from dryfire training aka Remington roulette with hi speed duds) that burst are nasty
