    Need help in 338-06 275g

If anyone has a copy of Speer #10 manual or any published loading literature, please share the page for 338-06 using 275g bullet.
    Much appreciated

This should help,no starting loads or max loads from Load Data.Com. I’ve never shot that heavy of a bullet in my 338-06 so I was curious.

I have some of those (out of production) Speer bullets for use in my 338-06 but settled on the 250 grain bullets for big game. LBT made me a 275grn mold and I shot a lot of them. I have notes packed away somewhere. Seems like a lifetime ago in the 1980's I worked on this.

I am not trying to steer anyone one way or the other but with-in the limits of cast, the heavy 275gr was the way to go for big game like elk and moose. In jacketed, the 225 and 250's could be pushed faster and flatter. But, you know all this if you are involved with a smart number like the 338-06.

    Thank y’all.
Always a pleasure to get a helping hand from this forum.
I was told Speer#10 has a good write up on 275g including a picture of the big game shot with it.
Likewise on possibility of pushing boolits.
BTW, I’m shooting out of a rebarelled Mauser so I’m keeping low to mid powder charges.

Download the latest version of Gordon's Reloading Tool - freeware to see what the different powders will do in your 338/06.
Go now and pour yourself a hot one...

Another favor y’all, if anyone has a copy of Handloader Magazine April 2023 issue, please post load from the 338-06 AI article. Appreciate it in advance.
    Thanks

I checked Speer #10 and it had nothing like that at all.

I also went thru the older Speer manuals back to #2, and Ackley's manual.
