Nice buck! He has brow tines, so that means western PA? I have only seen bucks with brow tines closer to Ohio. The few times we went to central PA and eastern central PA the few bucks we saw in the fiel and in pickup beds had no brow tines. Where did you hit him and how far did he run? I have shot a few with my 45 but most all were with 265s or 315s at 1600 fps. I got one with a handgun and a Texas heart shot at about 850 fps with a 265 that was recovered in front of the opposite shoulder and the deer made it about 50 yards.

I Got him in Central Pa, just north of State College. Black Moshannon State Forest. Shot him in the chest, facing straight at me.(Not a shot that I would usually take but...) he was close maybe 30 yards at most and didnt go far, about 25 yards.
