In the 20 some odd years that I've been reloading, I've never messed with Blue Dot. Ever since I first got into the gig I was warned about Blue Dot being temperamental. This was enough for me to find a different powder. Although, I do hear it is a fantastic powder for Shotshells. Something I don't load much of. With that said, I never have been in a situation where I needed a powder, and that powder just happened to be Blue Dot. Bullseye, Unique, Red Dot, one of the Ramshots, 2400, 4227, and H110 pretty much cover all of my needs for pistols, and some rifles. Of those, I probably use more Unique, Red Dot, and Bullseye than anything else, and in that order. The rest are for specific purposes, though I'm getting more and more fond of the Ramshot powders...
