Powder Charge for CVA Buckhorn using sabots

I was recently given a package of TC sabots that are 50 cal reduced to .452". Up until now I have used Lee Real and 50 cal round balls in my CVA Buckhorn Magnum, without having any success in terms of accuracy. Also, the Real 50 cal is a real shoulder bruiser. I presently own a Lyman 200 gr semi-wadcutter mold that is perfect in my 45 ACP pistol. Is there any disadvantage in using this mold cast with WW and dressed in sabot? Also what is a good starting load using Pyrodex RS? Thanks.

Start at 50 and work your way up to what accuracy and velocity you want

Thanks guys, I may have been pushing the REAL slugs too fast. I'll try Richard's suggestion, and see how that works with the sabots.

i have a copy of the owners manual the recommended charge weights are from 50-150g(max "magnum load") of Pyrodex or White Hot pellets (black powder equivalents) for the Buckhorn.

YOU CANNOT USE BH209 IN THE BUCKHORN!! I wrote to them asking and got a straight answer of no.

I have not yet tried any cast in this one. I did try some Great Plains once and they were all over the target, 2ft groups are not for me

The CVA PowerBelts and the sabots that I have tried seem to work ok enough in the 80 to 100 volume range from my clear black powder measure
