    300 BO Cast HEAVY ???

I have to leave 309–230 mold it's been OK since I removed the boat tail/gas check shank. A friend bought an arsenal, 250 grain bullet. It's also shot really well. But I'm not sure of the model and I can't seem to figure out which one it is.

I'm looking for. I'm interested in seeing what heavy bullet mold people like for this caliber. I've got a couple ideas that I like but I wanna see what's been popular and what shooting well for other people.

So can you give me suggestions for a heavy bullet 30 caliber of course, for the 300 AAC blackout

I found these last night... ACCURATE PREFERRED as I can change dims to suite. But NOE cheaper...

NOE has fixed .299 nose and 4 cav is under 100$ with rebate.

Accurate for almost same 4 cav is 150$ but I can adjust dia of body and nose to better .297 for PC .0015/.002 (per side)

    NOE: HTC 310-247

    Accurate: 311-245ez

This was an old group buy, but I believe he stocks it now. I have the solid version and it has run well in three ARs. The hollow point version should as well if you have a need for it.

I am going with the NOE 310-247

A few private messages convince me its a small enough nose dia. Plus 1/3 cheaper and NOT AT ALL 1/3 less quality. The fact that it's IN STOCK and credits me to the 1K club $$ helps too.

PB. I powder coat & intend these for low pressure subs. No need for a GC.

Dunno why you want to use 'heavies' for target work. Might work, might not. I've been fiddling around with .30 caliber cast for some time now and have found nothing that shoots better on paper than a Lyman 311041.

It shoots fairly well with a Brooks 180 grain also. https://i.imgur.com/sXOvzlK.jpg https://i.imgur.com/rnGSDMC.jpg

Have a friend with a .300 BO that started with 240 grain cast. Switched to a 210 grain and it finally started shooting well.

I developed a sub load for the 300 years ago using the Lee 230 FN that one of our casters sent me as an exchange for a good bit of 45 Colt brass. I do not normally buy anything Lee. However these bullets when PCed and sized to groove diameter, shot sub 1/2" groups at 50 with H-110. So I then bought a Lee "Cruise Missile" mould and they do work pretty well. However, I prefer the 358 MGP VS the 300 BO for hogs. This is a picture of the two, side by side.
