    REDFIELD 1-4x LER anyone ?

I have the opportunity to purchase a vintage Redfield as indicated.
    absolutely affordable price_
the aim is to mount it on .44 magnum hanguns or .444 Marlin lever_
    stout loads_
anyone with direct experience in this regard?
wrong post title above: actually it's an Intermediate Eye Relief, not Long Eye Relief

No experience with the Redfield version but I do have a much-abused Burris 1 1/2-4 X. It's been on everything from 22 rimfire to 45-70 and hasn't flinched once. It's about the most practical power range. Anything of higher power magnification for me requires a solid rest. No Redfield pistol or I.E.R. scopes but have a number of Redfield rifle scopes I imagine the two you've picked up will serve you well.

...If I had found a Burris like yours I wouldn't have missed it.
I currently have an old 4x glossy Weaver that has withstood 8Mauser and for years has allowed me to use .44magnum revolvers without protest, except asking for a steady rest.
I truly hope these two now obsolete IER Redfield behave well (the box says magnum proof )
    thanks for the encouragement !
