Why is the site so slooooooooooooooow

Can't hardly navigate the site at all today. Checked all my settings and this problem seems to be isolated to this site. Everything else runs pretty good.

Maybe it's sort of like me- old and tired.

But it's back up to speed now.

OK People. Enough of this idle chit-chat.

The problem existed not too long ago as well.

IIRC - someone suggested clearing out your "history" file

I tried it on my Mac laptop - it helped but the problem continued off and on and finally things got back to normal

Don't know if it was an issue with the site and it was fixed? Maybe one of the Mods can chime in and shed some light on it?

Right now, it is running fine for me - knock on wood

EDIT: I have to add, tha at the time I found it running slow - it was the only site I was having issues with - I'mnot a computer whiz so ????

I posted a thread about clearing cache to speed up this forum. Haha ironically, it took me forever to compose, add photos and post the thread... So even with a finely "tuned" list of cookies, the site is somewhat slow at times then very fast at other times. Today it is slow.

It's 11:48 AM , Friday in Baton Rouge , Louisiana and right now
the site is the fastest operating I've seen in a long time ...
Faster than just a couple hours earlier this morning .
I'm not sure what makes sites slow down to a crawl then later go back to normal speed and then every once in a while go into hyper fast speed ... but for the moment I'm liking this fast speed !

Computers are as mystifying as women ... I don't understand them either

We have been getting a lot more visitors / robots lately. We use to average around 800-1200 visitors at a time. The last month or so we are around 3,000. It bogs down the site until different server resources are allocated for the increase. There will be upgrades in the future to help with this.

These men and their hypnotized followers call this a new order. It is not new. It is not order.

I often try to post a reply & it won’t let me. Says too soon to repost even though I haven’t posted!

It’s ok most of the time for me, with intermittent slo-mo

Mine was slow until I changed internet providers.
I went from 12 MPS to 300 MPS.
    It`s really fast now.
