I've never heard of this mould maker, but I came across a specimen of a Cornett mould a few gunshows back. It fits a pair of the old Lyman two-cavity mould handles to perfection, although the blocks are more on the order of the ones Steve Brooks offers. The sprue plate is thick, and the knockoff tab is at the top, like the old Winchester designs. The mould overall is thoroughly modern, with flattened ends on the locating pins and Allen screws used throughout.
No caliber marking; except for "CORNETT" on one block and "2 05" on the other. The cavity looks to be around .40 caliber, and is obviously one of the modern blackpowder designs. Haven't tried casting with it yet.
Anybody heard of Cornett? Plugging his name into the search engines only gives me the usual scroll of accountants, florists, dentists, civil engineers, obituaries, etc. Thanks in advance.
