    IMR4166 in Garand with cast

I have a chance to trade for a pound of IMR4166. Since any flavor of 4895 is unobtanium I am wondering if this would be good for cast in a Garand. I did a search and there is nothing recent and nothing that specifically mentions cast. Thanks.

I did use it in mine.

34.0gn with the NOE 165 (XCB) gave me 1980fps (just barely cycled the action)
35.0gn with the ACC 210E bullet was 1890fps (really good at cycling the action)

Both gave me my typical 2" groups at 100yd (that's what I get with surplus jacketed ammo as well).

I have an 8 pounder of IMR 4166 and some Lee 230 gr cast that I would like to try in my 1903, anyone have more data for this combo?
