So I bought some solder today

I just bought a roll from the flea market like I've never seen.

This roll must have been for plumbers or roofers.

Just guessing the roll is 8" by 4" and the diameter of the stuff is 3/8" or so.

I'm guessing I got 15 pounds or so

Whats it worth?

I gave $15 for the roll.

For reference, Rotometals sells 50-50 bar solder for just over $15 per pound.

On the low side for value I would go $7.50 for the lead content and $60 for the tin content assuming 15# of 50-50.

You did good, I generally give $2.00 a pound for used solder, at yard sales.

Value will depend on the alloy of it.
There's various ways to get a fair idea by how hard it is.

Even if its pure Lead, you still did pretty good.
