So I was gifted an old Fajen Walnut stock. The stock was bedded with brown acraglas( best I can figure) No markings on it other than the butt plate being Fajen.
The action spacing holes are 7 3/4" via tape measure and the action appears to be square not a round. Have attached photos of the stock and the bedding. The floor plate/trigger guard assy looks Mauser/Winchester
Any help in ID'ing it ? anyone have any interest? Cant really sell it until I can claim to know what it fits..

Looks like its for a mauser or just maybe a p-14 or p17.

Nope. That doesn't look like any Enfield or Springfield stock.
Whatever it fits, somebody thought a lot of it.
Even in its day, that was not a cheap stock.

It looks like an attempt to bed a Small Ring Mauser like the 1916 Oviedo- on bottom under a 98 Mauser in this pic. I have four 1916s and they all have the sculpted recoil lug.
The style looks like the Fajen “Regent” sporter stock.
Really appreciate the interest, the wood itself is beautiful, and the shape and contour lines on the stock are really nice.... just not sure what to do with it. Obviously it is a shame to not use it....
Texas by God hit the nail on the head. That's a stock for a small ring Mauser. It isn't for a M17 or P14 because the tang and safety area would be different. Not the best glass bedding job I've ever seen, but good enough that you can see that the action was using a stepped military barrel. The steel pillar for the rear tang screw looks like it has a bigger inside diameter hole than a factory one, so that was probably made by the gunsmith that sporterized the action. This stock could have been for a '93, '94, '95, or a Swedish Mauser. The tang inlet on a '95 would be slightly different from the other small rings because of the cut out for the root of the bolt handle, but I can't really tell from the photos. Definitely this is a small ring Mauser stock.

Pete gave me a good deal on this stock, so I bought it. It’s very nice!
It turns out that it may be for a Turkish Mauser? It has a large ring that is longer than “normal “,
98 length guard screw spacing, and the “93 type” recoil lug….
I recently obtained a nice K98 barreled action 8x57 already tapped for reciever sight that will fit into that Fajen with a little help.
A wise man told me once that “The only thing for sure with Mausers- is that nothing is for sure with Mausers.”

If you do use that stock, my suggestion would be to remove the bedding and re-bed it for the new barreled action. That bedding looks like Micro-bed, a kit that came with two tubes of soft epoxy that had to be mixed, not nearly as good as Accraglas. Micro-bed was very common and sold in nearly every gun shop and department store sporting goods section in the 60's and 70's .
If that inletting is for a 98 Mauser, I'm pretty sure the G33/40 "light weight" actions had the recoil lug cut out like that as part of the lightening process. Might have been originally inletted for that 98 variation.

It actually worked out ok.
The bolt handle cut isn’t correct, but I don’t think that it will bother me enough to add an obvious patch there.
It shoulders nicely and the sights are right there.

It’s hard to believe anyone would have removed such a beautiful stock in the first place.
It shoots well so far. The coin slot screw/click adjustment of the Redfield sight made sight in easy. 40 yards with the Lee 175(186grs) over Unique.
My brother has expressed keen interest in it; it may be moving to Montana soon.
