The scope is a LER scope at 2.5X
Three bases come with it. 1 base is a generic barrel mount base. I used this base on a lever action rifle. Two screws open the base to fit the barrel and the rail on the bottom of the scope. Tighten both screws and the base self-adjusts to tighten on the barrel and scope rail. The second base is a 2-piece set. Each base has a screw that screws into holes tapped on a rail or the firearm itself. Tighten the cross screws after the scope's rail is slid into the base. The third base is custom made. It is one of a kind. My Dad was a tool and die maker. He milled the base out of an all-steel billet. The base is made to attach onto a drilled and tapped rail mounted on the firearm. Mounting the scope on top of the receiver brings the scope to close to your eye. The second picture shows the screw hole placements.
