.41-magnum roll crimp die on 10mm case?

I’ve been corresponding with Tom Gibson of Accurate Molds on getting the best accuracy from one of his 10mm revolver molds designed for the GP100, which he also shoots & loads.

Tom says he’s running a .41-magnum roll crimp die.

Before I run out & buy one, I was hoping to get corroboration as to whether this will work.

I don't see any issue with this idea. Except he means 41 Short Colt I believe. You would need to use the 41 revolver roll crimp die from Old West bullet molds.

The .41 has a longer case than the 10 mm.
So it seems like it won’t work to me.

The 41 Magnum has a longer case and a bigger bullet diameter. The Old West crimping tool works both on 41 Long Colt and 41 Short Colt cases. A 41 Short Colt case is .637" long.

10MM cases are .992" long. Bullet diameter is the same as 41 Long Colt and 41 Short Colt at .405".

I would say the tool from Old West is the one to use.

10mm revolver? Use a trimmed-down 38-40 seating die, with the seating stem removed.
