An man I know just went through these procedures 8 months ago at age 78. Went in for a carotid clean up when the blockages were discovered. Recuperation takes time and effort. 4 months after initial bypass surgery he was strong enough to have the carotids cleaned up. Now, in month 9 he is well on the road to complete recovery. Be patient, be strong, you can do this. It is worth the effort.
