Here are a couple of pics showing mounting a tang sight on Ruger No 1.
that I rebarrelled to 40-72Win/12 twist for BPTR target use.
I removed the safety and installed a drilled and tapped steel block inside the receiver
that is held in place by the front screw.
Then I drilled a hole just behind the tang in the stock wrist, and bedded a 1/2" length of 10-32 coupling
in AcraGlas. Distance center to center is set for the tang sight with a Remington base.
