    Lead wire core cutter

I'm considering making my own lead core cutter tool for .185 lead wire.

Anybody have close up pictures or good info on trying this?

if you are not using a bleed die than a core mold would be a much better option.
if you are ever being chased by a taxidermist, don't play dead

    MFG BOP,,, Thanks a bunch!
Can you get me a few close-ups of the actual cutting area?

Not opposed to Corbin. I like to build whatever I can.

I have a core bleed die & all, and I have a mold. But I want to have options.

    Thanks for the link.
I had gotten some other pictures & ideas from a few other fine folks here.
This past weekend,, I made a lead wire cutter myself.
So far,, it is working very well. I haven't had the time to put into serious use yet,, (work & all this week,) but plan a bit of time soon to give it a workout.

    Thanks again!

A $30 lead wire cutter off AliExpress looks very interesting. I am all about making my own but that's cheap and from the video looks like very fast to operate. I made my own using an idea from YouTube guy who did a bunch of swage videos back in 2010. It's a cheap wire stripper from Harbor Freight and I made a threaded shaft with piece of aluminum plate to back against.

I got lucky and found a 25lb spool at local scrap yard that I paid $1/lb but Corbin is asking around $5/lb so that for me that is 5x more expensive so I prefer to cast my cores, plus they come out cleaner.
