I found a huge (1/2 size) group improvement when I switched to using standard small pistol primers in my .22 Hornet CB loads for a CZ 527 Lux. I don't remember if my J-Bullet loads were small rifle or small pistol, but moderate velocity loads, particularly using Hornady 35 and 40 grain loads were very accurate. Unlike some articles I read, I didn't find the .22 Hornet hard to cast or load for and achieve good accuracy. Maybe I was just lucky. I've never fired factory Hornet ammo.
That's some good shooting Wolfdog. Looks like you got yourself a cast boolit varminter. What load are you using (inquiring minds want to know)?
I have a Ruger K hornet and it doesn't like anything 45gr and up.
What mold are you using? I have 2 Lyman .225" molds but both make around 55g boolits...
