I have a new NOE mold. It has the brackets for holding the nose punches on the bottom. How do you preheat your molds?
Thanks.

kr54 For that type of mould I use the oven for the original heat cycling. After that my hot plate like any other. Gp
I only have one NOE mold with the HP pins. I heat it on my hot plate with the sprue plate down. Be careful, don’t overheat it.
Due to the price of primers, warning shots will no longer be given!
I just season my brass moulds by heating it on my hotplate with the pin attachments taken off. I cycle them 4 times to aprox 400 degrees lettim them cool until I can hold them. I then put the pins back in and just set them on the hot plate there after. This heats the pins too so when ready to fill the will have fill out around the pins.

I've been known to give them a blast from a propane torch--not too long

I have a routine. Turn on my lead pot then put my NOE mold on the hot plate. Switch on the hot plate. Switch off the hot plate. Reset the breaker. Put the NOE mold on the edge of the lead lot and hope for the best.

Thanks, everyone.
