I have an early Savage 23C in 32-20 with the older round nosed mag. I know those are scarce as hens' teeth and generally quite pricey when they do show up for sale. My mag feeds fine and I have no problems with it - but I'm one of those guys who doesn't like having just one, in case the original gets lost or damaged.

On the other hand, the square front mags are more readily available and much less expensive. My question is whether anyone has converted a square nose version to the older design, or even built some from scratch (which I don't think would be terribly difficult in a decent fab shop)?

TIA,

HW
