    Lead Prices are Down !!!

Had almost 600 lbs of old batteries in the pole barn this week. Just equipment batteries worn out. Wife said that I had a lot of old batteries and should junk em!! So I loaded them up in the pickup. The price board at the salvage yard showed batteries at $ .10/lb Got $59 dollars and some change! Copper, brass, and aluminum was also down. I asked the owner if he would sell some lead pipe for $ .15 He said he would. Think I am going to stock up before the market turns over. Maybe we are headed into a severe recession because of the miserable job this current administration is doing. Anyone else see lead prices down??? My lead pot is going to get a work out !

Buy while you can from yards. Been a long time since I was able to buy from a yard.

Buy what you can at that price. I am expecting the price of lot of things to come down as we approach the 3rd quarter this year. It may happen earlier if the smart companies ditch their stock/inventories, while the going is good.

$.15 a lbs is a fraction of what it should be worth. I’d literally buy a ton of I could at that price.

Yeah at 15 cents a pound I'd take out a loan and hire an 18 wheeler to haul them ALL to my barn regardless of how much was available.

Does this presage a recession? My "wealth advisor" just sent out an email to the effect that all equities (stocks) would be sold and the proceeds put into fixed income(bonds). This is the first time that's happened. Sell your stock and buy rental income properties.

Copper has long been the barometer of the economy. Makes me a little nervous.
