    Recycling powder coating "booth"

Out of curiosity, has anyone tried to build a recycling powder spray gun/booth system? If you had an air compressor that drew from the spray chamber and let the powder collect in the bottom of the system, similar to a small sand blaster, could the draw tube for the powder gun be placed in the powder collection are ans serve to recycle powder?
My mind wants to k ow...

No but I saw a ceramic class with a window cut out of a plastic drum and a turntable inside it. The purpose was to turn a clay object and spin it for a glazing sprayer.

It would probably work...IF...the humidity was very low. Otherwise the loose powder would collect moisture in the bottom of the unit. Maybe, if you made something like a sandblasting cabinet and sealed it, you might make the powder last longer.

Does spraying powder use it up that fast? I've only used S&B and a pound of powders lasts for thousands of bullets.

When I did the spraying, loss wan't too bad and the recovered powder didn't work well.

A bit more context. I'm thinking of building an automatic powder coater. Feed bullets in one end, get trays of bullets (pistol) out the end. If things go well, might add an oven to the mix, but coating conveyor style with overspray capture is first challenge
