I've got a couple of Ballards I've been working on, both needing parts. Triggers, hammers, extractors and most importantly, breech blocks. I ordered breech block castings from the Rifle Shoppe, but found they're for set triggers, requiring bottom plate, hammer, trigger, extractor, sear, springs, etc. In addition to a machining project not for the faint hearted, the cost of all the additional parts make the project somewhat less attractive. The castings are nice, but I'm hoping to find original parts eliminating the need for complicated machining, plus I don't necessarily need set triggers.

A lot of us that shoot and collect the wonderful Ballard hang out over on ASSRA forum including Val. You might have more luck asking for parts there.

You might check with Rodney Storie. He had a fire recently, but I believe many, perhaps most of his in stock parts were saved.
