I cast things like soft vise jaw covers out of the Zinc W W's
I have also cast jigs for my drill press to hold parts.
I did cast a nose cap and butt plate for a muzzleloader out of the zinc too.
If I had my forge still.
I could melt the zinc with some scrap copper and make some brass

I only use range scrap. Now I wish I had some zinc. I need some soft jaws for a vise and zinc would be a good idea if I had some.

Scrap yard deals are a hard way to make any real money. I just use them to get rid of clutter on the farm. Every time I get involved with them it is a real question if I paid for the time or gas to haul the junk.

This is pretty much my thinking too!
