    Turkey Fryer

I bought an "El Cheapo" turkey fryer because I have a lot of bullet metal to melt. Anybody know how to disable the 15 minute timer?

'El Cheapo'?...... and some people think Spanish is hard to learn.

It's basically a switch and should have two wires going to it.
When the timer is 'on',,, it connects them together inside the unit.
When it's 'off', it breaks the circuit by separating them.

I'd get in it and just connect the 2 wires going to the timer together with one of those plastic wire nuts.
Of course, it'll probably be set on 'go' and you have to unplug it to turn it off.

Never heard of a turkey fryer with a timer. How do you cook a turkey in 15 minutes?

Just being a smartie! Timer just completes the circuit for the duration. Follow the directions above and bypass it.

My son has one like that it’s a deadman kind of setup secretly mandated by the insurance companies. The “timer” controls a gas flow shutoff valve. Pretty difficult to bypass but should be easy enough to eliminate.

I’d remove the thermocouple also…I’m sure other videos probably show that as well

    Or just replace the hose/reg

The last one I bought just has a hose and regulator, make this one the same, get rid of the thermocouple.
