Powder coating bear creek bullets ?

I have a big supply of bear creek bullets in three calibers setting around.
I don't shoot them because of the leading they leave in my guns. Anyone try PC them .Ive tired with mixed results.they don't look great ,But seem ok for shooting .or I could just melt them down and recast.

Do they have lube on them? If so and what has worked for me was boiling them in a pot on a heating plate and skim the lube off the top. After that lightly wipe them with a rag soaked in acetone

I use a lot of Bear Creek bullets, and the only time I get leading is if I am driving them too fast.
What are you shooting them in, and how fast?

I used to shoot a lot of Bear Creek Bullets. They are moly coated and I used to get a lot of dirty bores after a session with my M&P40 @ 1000 fps. Not very fast. 30 seconds with a Chore Boy wrapped bore mop and the bore was clean. For me, it wasn't slivery streaks of lead, just heavy deposits of something which came out as sparkling dust when mopped out.

I would not bother trying to clean off the moly coating and PC'ing them. I doubt the PC will stay on. Best to simply melt them down, scoop out the residue and cast clean boolits. Of course, you can try to PC a dozen or so to see if the powder sticks, bakes and stays on them. The worst that can happen is the PC doesn't work, you simply remelt them.
